Tanya Mortlock
Tanya Mortlock, Headteacher, Willow Tree
Tanya joined Beechfield School in 2013 and enjoyed a variety of roles during her time there, including class teacher, phase leader and Assistant Headteacher. Along the way, she was grateful for opportunities to lead areas such as curriculum development, Pupil Premium provision and attendance, which helped her to develop her leadership experience and understanding of school improvement.
After her time at Beechfield, Tanya moved to Willow Tree School as Interim Headteacher before being appointed Headteacher. Throughout her career, she has been passionate about ensuring that every child feels valued, supported and able to achieve their potential.
Tanya believes that strong relationships are at the heart of a successful school community, and she is committed to working closely with children, families and staff to create a nurturing, inclusive and ambitious environment where everyone can thrive.
