What our staff say

Our staff voice shapes how we lead — and we are very proud that our results show we are building a Trust where people genuinely want to work and thrive.

Our latest Edurio Staff Experience and Wellbeing Survey, completed by 174 colleagues across our four schools, shows we consistently outperform national benchmarks across every area measured.

89% of staff would recommend us as a great place to work. Our people feel a strong sense of belonging and purpose — 90% say our vision and values are clear to them, and that they feel our values are genuinely embedded into our culture. We are proud that our scores for leadership, communication, career development and trust perception all sit significantly above national benchmarks. We invest in our people's growth, with professional development provision rated particularly highly — 25 points above the sector average.

We also take our areas for improvement seriously. We know workload remains a challenge for many colleagues in education, and we are committed to finding practical ways to reduce pressure and support a healthy work-life balance. Pay and benefits is another area we continue to review, ensuring our offer is fair and competitive.

We are very proud to share that the Inclusive MAT was recognised in the 2025 Edurio Awards where Cherry Tree School won the Staff Choice Award.

This recognition was based on national survey data from the 2024/25 academic year. The regional Edurio awards celebrate the top performing school in a region based on a key survey question.

We are also excited to have been shortlisted for the 2026 MAT Excellence Awards in the Staff development category.
